Design to Print | Commissioned Artist
Marwen's Design to Print course is a 10-week commissioned program that occurs annually in Spring. The course gives 15 young people (ages 16-18) the opportunity to apply for and be hired as commissioned artists to learn new artmaking techniques to create and design greeting cards. Each young artist receives a stipend for their greeting card design.
Applications are open through December 15, 2024 for the Spring 2025 term. APPLY HERE
Teach at Marwen!
Marwen is seeking exceptional practicing artists to design and teach visual arts courses for 6-12 graders from all across Chicago. We are looking for experienced Teaching Artists (TAs) with active practices aligned with the core values of creative youth development: youth voice, collective action, and social justice. We welcome proposals in all mediums, particularly ceramics, digital media, video, photography, fashion, painting, and comics.
