Fall Term 2025 New Student Open House & Registration dates:

During the open house, you will learn about Marwen, tour the studios, meet staff, and register for Fall term courses. Fall term runs September 17 - November 22, 2025. Classes meet for 10 weeks, one time per week, 2.5 hours per session, for a total of 25 class hours.

 

Please note that all materials shared will include Spanish translations, and our Spanish-speaking staff will be available on-site and by phone to support registration questions.

 

5 Important Things to Know: 

1. New Student Open House & Registration is mandatory for all new students who want to participate in Marwen's FREE visual arts programs. 
2. Please arrive on time, so we can show you around the galleries and studios and get you registered for free classes!
3. Students under 18 are required to attend orientation with a parent or guardian.  
4. Limited free parking is available in our lot. Public transportation is highly recommended. We're 2 blocks from the Chicago Brown line station.
5. Be prepared to spend a full 90 minutes at Marwen. (We've got snacks, don't worry.)

Founded in 1987, the no-cost studio and pathway programs exist for young people in Chicago who want to explore visual arts and do not have access to arts programming due to financial and systemic barriers.
