New Student Orientations | Spring 2023
Welcome to Marwen – we’re excited to meet you! During your one-hour orientation, you will learn about Marwen, take a studio tour, meet staff, and create an account to register for Spring courses.
5 Important Things to Know:
- New Student Orientation is mandatory for all new students who want to participate in Marwen programs.
- Please arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled time slot. If you arrive 10 minutes after your scheduled orientation time, we will help you reschedule for the next available time.
- Students under 18 are required to attend orientation with a parent or guardian.
- Limited free parking is available in our lot, but public transportation is highly recommended.
- If you are unable to attend one of our orientations between January 18-21 or any other questions regarding new student orientation, please reach out to Alexiss at avillagomez@marwen.org or 312.374.2968.

Wednesday, January 18 | 4:30, 5:30, 6:30 pm
Thursday, January 19 | 4:30, 5:30, 6:30 pm
Friday, January 20 | 4:30, 5:30, 6:30 pm
Saturday, January 20 | 10 am, 11 am, noon, 1 pm, 2 pm

Marwen educates and inspires young people to nurture their growth and build their futures through art and community. Founded in 1987, the no-cost studio and pathway programs exist for young people in Chicago who want to explore visual arts and do not have access to arts programming due to financial and systemic barriers.
