The Art Institute of Chicago: Learning and Public Engagement Internship

COURSE DESCRIPTION

Marwen's Learning and Public Engagement Interns work at the Art Institute of Chicago in public programs for youth, teens, and families. Throughout the year, interns work closely with museum mentors to assist in art-making activities, studio programs and workshops, gallery tours, family festivals, and other large events. Interns will also have the opportunity to design and implement their own innovative programs, job-shadow with staff from around the museum, get access to the behind-the-scenes of the museum, and learn more about the museum’s collection. This is an unpaid internship; transportation support available.

The Learning and Public Engagement Internship is a great opportunity for creative teens who are interested in studio arts, museums, education, leadership, and/or working with the public.

DEADLINE TO APPLY IS MONDAY AUGUST 14, 2017. APPLY NOW.
